We treat all age ranges from adolescence to elderly. On the first
visit, the patient is evaluated by the physician to insure the painful
condition is amendable to our methods. A thorough history and physical
exam of the affected area is performed. If enrolled, a treatment
plan is ordered that is appropriate for
the condition. We use frequent, intense outpatient treatment sessions
in the beginning to start the rehabilitation process. Once improvement
is achieved, the pain decreases, and the frequency of visits is
reduced. Treatment is continued until maximum benefit is achieved.
Typically, a patient with a chronic painful problem is enrolled
for an 8-10 week program. Many severe acute injuries will resolve
in a shorter duration, 2-4 weeks. Unlike other philosophies of pain
management that utilize procedures that can be painful, our therapies
are comfortable, yet effective. Patients comment to us all the time
that it is hard to believe that treatment that feels so good can
actually work. But it does!
